Dancing ‘til my feet ache and my heart sings

“Many of us are looking for a beat, something solid and rooted where we can take refuge and begin to explore the fluidity of being alive, to investigate why we often feel stuck, numb, spaced-out, tense, inert, and unable to stand up or sit down or unscramble the screens that reflect our collective insanity.” – Gabrielle Roth

Tonight’s Chaos

I am infused with such deep gratitude for the joy of dance. For the flow, the grace, the freedom, the feelings, the embodied presence, the growth, the healing; the sheer bliss of creative movement.

“Disease is inertia. Healing is movement. If you put the body in motion, you will change. You are meant to move: from flowing to staccato, through chaos into lyric and back into stillness from which all movement comes. If you let your heart be moved, be open to the risk and adventure of feelings, letting them work through to completion, you will change. Tears turn into smiles, anger into embraces….The spirit in motion heals, expands, circles in and out of the body, moving us through the layers of consciousness from inertia to ecstasy. Open to the spirit, and you will be transformed.” – Gabrielle Roth
