Today I’m grateful for…

Tapping into new pools of knowledge that broaden my perspective.

Solitary, reflective walks through unknown streets filled with unfamiliar scents and sounds.

Sitting with discomfort, and enjoying the relief that awaits on the other side.

Soothing away my loneliness in a hotel room far from home by surrounding myself with the comfort of favourite songs.

HibiscusThe satisfactory exhaustion of a week well spent.

Stumbling across unexpected beauties, both small and large.

Waking with a smile from delightful, playful, vivid dreams, and closing my eyes to replay the images and feelings over again.

Knowing that dawn will take me homewards.

  1. I have had some really special moments walking through unknown streets by myself, so I really resonated with your comment here. It is a great way to centre yourself and reflect on what is precious in your life. Great as the experience was I am sure return home provided the greatest pleasure 🙂

    1. Thank you for sharing that Peter; I certainly do find those moments some of those I most treasure. And yes, I’m finally home and so thoroughly delighted by that too! I love having the balance of the two; the self-reflection of solitary journeys and the rich, warm, solidity of home!
